Our first contest of the year as officially started.  It will be Twisted Cupid.  We will start accepting works today, January 15 and the contest will go until February 15.  A new folder has been set up in the Gallery for the contest.

PLEASE be careful with your submissions!!! ONLY submit Twisted Cupid Contest works to that folder.  DO NOT submit your normal art to the contest folder.  It is only for the contest.

ALL stocks must be from legal stock sources and linked directly to the stock the image, not a website, not a profile, but to the actual image.  Please follow the rules or your work will be declined.  If you have a question, just ask us.  You all know we are really easy to work with.

The idea is simple, a TWISTED play on Cupid.  It can be any concept, as long as it is a twisted play on Cupid.  The only major rule with regards to the content of your photo-manipulations, is that we will NOT accept anything horrific.  Sorry to our dark artists, but we are not a dark/horror group.

************ more information ****************

Twisted cupid, meaning, nothing typical of Valentine’s Day and Cupid.  Nothing cutesy wootsey, soft and romantic, nothing stereotypical or the norm when it comes to Cupid and Valentine’s Day.

At the same time, nothing promoting hatred or horrific violence or pure evilness, no excess gore and guts, we are not a horror group.  You can have evil and blood, weapons of course, but we don’t want to see someone’s insides all spilling out or puss leaking from their eyes, yuk lol.

Sound like a challenge??? Evil is ok, but not gore and gross stuff.  If you need clarification, please ask any of your admin staff

Please submit to the contest folder Twisted Cupid.  You also need to mention in the description of the work, that it is for the Twisted Cupid Contest via link or thumb.  This work must be made for this contest only.  No, submitting it to other contests and such.  No pulling up old work and renaming it, it must be made for this contest only.

We will be offering a first, second and third place prize for the winners.

The last time we ran a contest, we did not get alot of group participation and we are hoping this time will be different.  We will be awarding 1, 2, 3 place prizes.

Secret Valentine

Our Secret Valentine starts today as well.  By the end of the day, each participant will receive their Secret Valentine and the type of art that artist prefers.    Like the Twisted Cupid contest, it will end on February 15.   We will set up the group folder on Feb 1.  If you do complete it sooner, let me know, and I may open up the folder sooner.

You must obviously use legal stock sites, and you must link directly to the images used.  ALso in your description, you must put who it was made for and the style of art they preferred.

As always, if you need any help or have any questions, please let your admin staff know or note me directly.

Here is a list of our Secret Valentines
