Its really a honor.
To the picture:
I bought the octopus at a local fish market and after the shooting we threw it into the river.
First I wanted to eat it after the shooting but it was really really hot and we had concerns about food poisoning.
But I really think the fishes in the river had a good meal.
So as far as I am concerned, we were not wasting an animal or food.
It makes no difference who ate the animal in the end.

I am honestly curious why people dont like this one. Please be constructive.

I've seen some of the answers you make to comments against this work, and given you invite in all of them to adress the issue with you, I hope you can answer my question: why do you consider this worth of a DD? Because "I have a huge love of octupus images, and this is one of my favorite in the genre!" doesn't have an artistical weight in it, it sounds like a supportive argument of "ass+octopusD" that some people are seeing in this photo.
My intention is not attackintg you, I won't even comment if I like this or not, I just want to know your reasons for giving a DD to this because it has become a polemic work and because I have not found a real artistic argument about why you consider it worth of a DD, and this may be the origin for all the drama.
No, and this answer shows how rude you really are. I'm talking to you here because the problem is in this deviation, with a topic that IS PUBLIC. If I note you, it will lost its meaning.
I'm ok with not engaging any further conversation, finally is not really important, the fact that you are childish and don't have arguments supporting your choices have been made very clear already.
How is having an octopus on someones butt even remotely intriguing. Composition is horrible, light and shadows are decent and the grainy texture is reminiscent of an old webcam self shot photo.
The absolute only thing this photo has going for it is the shadows. The shadows are well played, and contrast is very good. But any kid can edit contrast with photoshop, which is pretty much exactly what it looks like has been done here. As was once said before, popular does not equal good.
Glad you found something you like about it, but sad that you think it deserves a DD. That is how badly DD has fallen from the old days. It's treated as a sticker on a test, when in truth it's meant to grant renown and recognition to those that actually deserve it.
