Edit! Yep, another art update when i should really actually be doing art of him, but guess what?? thats right, i've found my style, finally B)
Edit! Updated his profile for the new Breim updates! Because of the Doctor rank now going poof, he has been switched to Healer, but is still very anti-magic/blessings and basically the same pon he was before ;>
Edit! Toned down his accent, because it's getting harder for me to make understandable x>
Eyyy! Guess who's maxed out their Healer rank??? That's right, it's ya boi, Ciel! He's now got a reputation as an 'excellent healer' across the herd according to the rank description, and he can now help with birthing foals. I'm looking for new regular patients for him, so shoot me a note if interested :>
He can also be available for one-time visits or, well, anything else medical, really ;>
He also treats patients indiscriminately no matter which side of the herd they're on [Umare or Kawaru], as long as they require his aid, and can provide payment.

Cousin Hershey [Shetland x PoA] [Superior-Caesar]- Status: Living
Physical Appearance
Ciel's mane is wild, messy, medium-length and all-round unkempt though he tries his best. The fringe usually covers his eyes, but never impairs his vision, as it still has gaps which allow him to see. Half his mane is cut 'short', and the rest is somewhat medium length, with a small tuft near his shoulders to tie it onto. The only bad thing to come out of this head hair is that it tickles his cheeks to the point of becoming extremely annoying, though not harmful. If you were to sweep back his mane, you'll be surprised to see two large, bright blue eyes staring right back at you, sparkling with anger that you even dare touch his mane instead of realising that you did him a favour. There's yet more hair tying his mane back, so that he does not accidentally eat it when it gets too close to his face. Another unmissable feature of his is his 'beard' of sorts.
Much like his thick mane, his fur is shaggy and points in all directions. It's bothersome to him in the summer because of the amount of sweat it forces him to generate, but nonetheless, he loves it. He says that it gives him a sort of 'rough' look; Something much needed because of how many horses take him for granted or taunt him because of his size. His frame is slightly petite and only very slightly overweight, but it's just mostly from eating a variety of foods- and often.
Personality
Ciel has a habit of conveying his point across to the equine he's speaking to by twisting it around. He figures that if they understand what he's trying to say, they're smart enough to accompany him for longer. He also uses sarcasm for humorous purposes.
His large head packs quite a lot of brains- hence why it's big. The fact is... it's just not filled yet. He can assess situations quickly and efficiently and almost always find an answer. From this trait, he's become quick at learning, helping him to memorise the things to help him become a Healer. He's horrible at observing, though. To this day he does some private research to try and fill his blank canvas mind.
Ciel finds it hard to tell what others are feeling, and often needs to be told upfront or they drop enough hints so that he'll eventually realise. He's also oblivious to any pain they're feeling, which assists him in treating patients with horrible wounds without feeling anxious or sweaty. But it's the worst thing for deep conversations, which isn't good for his bonds.
He does what he thinks is right even if it means bending the rules. He'll stand up for the weak in the name of justice, but tries not to do anything too drastic. He also doesn't like bending the rules, but he'll do it anyway- reluctantly. He knows when people deserve the things they have, and will voice his opinion if otherwise.
Everywhere you see him he'll have his head held high. He's proud of his pony roots, and everything else about him, too. Despite all this, he doesn't think himself as more important than the rest of the herd. Merely a valuable asset.
Often you'll find him away from the herds, either travelling or just relaxing, as if he has not a care in the world. The truth is far from that, but even he doesn't know that. You can see this trait surface when he gives you that smile of his. But when a problem does arise, he'll probably take it upon himself to right it, which completely contradicts this.
As is the nature of most horses, Ciel hopes to protect those he knows and loves- and those he doesn't. Despite his tough hide he has quite a soft interior and is a sucker for anyone who loyally follows his orders, even though he may assume the leadership role unofficially.
No matter what the situation, he'll probably have something to say. And, most of the time, it carries on to a wonderful conversation of not-so-carefully chosen words. He loves to talk and will talk often- to himself if there's none other to interact with.
He knows that nothing comes for free, and does his best to show gratitude towards those who make an effort to provide things that others couldn't live without. He even stops at no end to repay his buddies who have done something for him 'out of friendship', either to their amusement or displeasure.
Ciel prides himself in his unpredictability, as he very rarely runs into rewards, however, most of the time it's trouble. But, when he does get rewarded, it's better than average. It's also quite hard to read his body language or grasp what's running through his mind, but his close friends seem to have that under control. Mostly.
Ciel LOVES to eat. He relishes the flavour, texture, smell and visuals that comes with consuming food- this is probably what led him to being a flexiterian. Grass seemed just too boring for him, I guess. Despite this, he'd be more than happy to share his half-eaten mouse with his closest friend if they were desperate and a second away from dying of starvation on an island full of horse-eating monsters. Nevertheless, it's not surprising he developed this trait due to wasting food being highly scorned in Breim. You can bet your behind that he's gotten quite a few fines for the irresponsible use of food.
Most of the time, Ciel forgets that he's an adult. He often plays around and makes childish jokes, and often mutters dirty innuendos under his breath and into the ear of the closest horse. He'll also say something either uncalled for or completely unrelated.
Ciel tends to take things more to heart than most other horses, and therefore acts upon his emotions more... intensely. Whether the drama was intended for humorous purposes or completely unintentional, there's no denying this trait's existence in this little pony.
For the sake of humour, Ciel would do many things. One them may or may not hurt the other horse's feelings, but this one more often than not... does. It's not his fault he's insensitive- well, actually, it probably is.
He can't help being competitive when he was literally raised with this habit. Every time his brother spoke a word, or even breathed, he would know that he was challenging his authority. Most of the time it wasn't a challenge, though his brother didn't mind when Ciel would get too reckless and go to extreme heights to best him... and fail.
Those thick, angry-looking eyebrows aren't just for show. It doesn't take much to make him tick, though it entirely depends on what time of day it is. One thing's for sure- he's almost never peaceful. Happy, sure, but never at peace. Sometimes, he even gets so angry at himself being angry he gets angry.
Even if he acts like he doesn't care, he most probably does. Probably. Whether the topic be one that lights up a foal's face, or his arch nemesis just tripped over- he really does care about it... but he doesn't want them to know that. That would make them think he was a weak Healer, who'd probably smother his patients. And that's just uncomfortable for the patient- horses would stop coming to see him, and that would ultimately lead to his career downfall. Overdramatic, yes, but that's what he is.
