Add J/K navigation to lists

For comments, the forums, browse pages, and anywhere else that it would be useful.

I was browsing this: [link]

And thought about how nice it would be to use J to move through it instead of scrolling.

So it would do the same function as the arrows? I tried them in twitter and it takes more clicking to go through. It's just a few clicks any way  But several shortcuts on other things might be interesting I guess...

dA already has prev/next navigation with the arrow keys. I don't think they need to add another set of keys to do the same thing.

Have you ever used J/K navigation? Arrow keys don't even come close to doing the same thing.

Nope. The thought has never crossed my mind and even if I knew they could be used, I still probably wouldn't use them. My right hand is much more often on my mouse than on my keyboard.

It still takes 2-3 scrolls to move between posts/comments. It makes a lot of sense once you're used to it. Try it on Twitter some time and you'll start to wish every website had it.

Try it for a moment to see how it works. You don't need an account.

I just tried it. I don't see what's so great about it.

It could be rather useful on some pages like the journal page. Dunno how useful it'd be elsewhere though.

It would be nice if you would use left/right scrollwheel taps on compatible mice to do the same thing, too. :la:

Twitter already has it. Try pressing j or k on a list of tweets.

Oh, I never knew of that! :D

Huh :O It looks like tabbing, except with tweets instead of text fields / buttons etc...
