3 inches

:iconsyroniene8898:
Yup. Another height thread. However, this time, I have a question for you:

If you had the opportunity to grow or shrink 3 inches, would you take that opportunity or stick with your current height?

I'll go first:

I'm 6' (6 foot). If I had the opportunity, I would like to grow 3 inches to 6'3". Not only would I like being taller, but I would also look slimmer, since my BMI is in the 'overweight' category.

What do you think?

Edit 12 Jul 2020: I have to go to bed, but here's what I have so far (I'm only including people who put their heights):

Key: R = Remain, G = Grow, S = Shrink

ElviraCheyenne666 – 4’11” (G to 5’2”)

alphashad0w – 5’ (G to 5’3”)

chaseawaythedark – 5’3” (G to 5’6”)

SpaniardWithKnives – 5’7” (G to 5’10”)

ScottToms – 5’8” (R)

Spook-A-Palooza – 5’9” (S to 5’6”)

N1cknameHere – 6’ (G to 6’3”)

Syroniene8898 – 6’ (G to 6’3”)

nightsvallow – 6’1” (G to 6’4”)

SophitiaCroft – 6’2” (G to 6’5”)

Katforce – 6’5” (S to 6’2”)

^^ I might update this further on.

5'11" and satisfied  UwU   (also recently lost 22 lbs ~ over the span of about 5 months :dummy: ~ since quarantine began i went on a diet, so now im back to average normalweight.) it was a bit tough in the beginning. :| eating a bit less than usual every meal... felt hungry all the time. but i also did it to limit the number of times i had to go grocery shopping during lockdown, ...making the food 'last longer'. keeping healthy exercise without going outside was the hardest part. :blushes: i had to walk circles in my living room... :XD: because i dont have a treadmill at home.   now i can go walk outdoors too. it's a little easier. i go for walks in local parks.   also i changed the type of food i eat. stopped fast food cold turkey, cut palm oil from my diet, started eating only home cooked meals...

Yes. The average height for adult males here is 5'11", so 6' is ok.

When I look around me it seems like the older generation, in general, is shorter while the younger keeps getting higher. :D

It would eventually stop, though. There would be a maximum height because 7' might be too tall for a lot of people.

Before 7'? If so, then I agree. 7' is WAY too tall, at least for a lot of people.

No, I'm fine. 5'1" is the perfect height for fitting into Asian fashion. Also, it makes midi skirts turn into long skirts!

Uh, yeah.
The height of the average Japanese woman is 5'2". Asians, at least in the far East, have smaller statures.

I am 1,68 m. I have no idea how tall that is in medieval measurements.
I don't know if'd like to be taller or not. It never came up to me to wonder. So it'd be R for me.

Still, loads of people fall into the trap of making it such a big deal they ruin their entire life over it. If you're young, be aware not to be that way!

It is. Unfortunately, the rest of the world makes it hard ot accept your own body the way it is, and feel okay with it. Only those with strong minds can resist the shaming.

I'm 183cm, that something like 6 feet? I'm happy with my height, seems just right, not too small but not freakishly tall either, good middle ground.

Yeah, it is kind of unusual.  Not many couples are known to have that kind of height difference.  It's actually a surprise for me that they were married all their life.  Also, my dad hung the "granddaughter clock" he got when he retired on the wall at his height.  When it comes time for me to wind it, I have to stand on a chair.

A 13 inch difference is quite unusual indeed, but it's nothing to be ashamed of. Also, considering that he is 8 inches taller than you, I can see why you have to use a chair. Do you find that annoying?
