Either way, art isn't all about quality. Sakimichan stuff isn't inherently bad, as it takes quite the level of knowledge of anatomy, color and knowledge of computer programs to get to that level. There are people that do better, of course. But I have to admire her for her marketing skills. She does a style apparently a lot of people like and want to spend money on, and she knows how to earn her income with that. She runs a business, and if anything, that's something I do admire about her.
I'm serios, that's the first thing. Second, did you even notice that her marketing skill is by drawing fanarts? Everyone can do that. To me it's nothing amazing being unoriginal for the sake of getting watchers. You know how hard it is don't you? To be orginal and known at the same time? I believe you still remember. How is your injury? I hope you're fine already. (Not sarcasm, really, this is sincere)
The real question is i don't get what is so magnetising with her works. Lots of artists out there create nice anatomy and tehniques too. You found any?
Regardless of her content, her marketing skills are actually admirable. I say this coming from a marketing background and everything. There are plenty of people that do fanart, but most of 'em aren't even remotely as well known as she is. So while I do agree fanart helps drawing in viewers, it's not the main reason. I figure it's a mix that fanart, drawing traditionally attractive men and women with large eyes, saturated colors, and probably more stuff I cannot pinpoint exactly. That, and a cleverly organized patreon campaign. I see it as a business, rather than as art made out of passion. And if it works, that's fine. It's just not something I would choose to do myself, though. It's for a reason I decided to earn my income on something else than art, because I know it's nearly impossible to earn money on original projects without falling a vicitim of making adjustments purely for money's sake (which would kill some of the passion for me).
All in all, I think your topic makes little sense. You can hate on someone, but hating won't change reality. Either choose to learn something from her marketing skills or work on your own skills.... those are things that are far more productive (and would probably make you happier too).
(And I don't think I remember your username. Don't take that personal. My memory is horrible when it comes to nicknames. I'm still dealing with the injury. I practice smart now, instead of hard. It helps ^^)
Alright, seemed like i started out too fiery, but thank you, i got my answers already, it's just i never get how people think. But i sure do got a lot, even more than sufficient information, like more than sufficient. This, is really helping.
That's good, don't do art for money, won't make you happy, even if other thinks your style is ugly (not that your style is) eventually it will become pretty
Don't worry I'm not going to take it personally, after all why would i want to use this account in real life
I do somewhat agree with you. Stylistically, it is fairly bland: posing, composition, colouring style, no creative distortions on apparel, facial expressions etcetc are all pretty monotonous... but it definitely has a decent amount of technique/skill. You're also right in that it certainly is not really so amazing that it's not replicable and one of a kind/seen done by other good artists.
My main issue with her art is that it never changes/improve, so it just looks like the same thing over and over again with slightly different hair and clothes. Personally, it gets boring after a while.
But most art is consumed by nonartists and/or fans, so I can understand why most would like, appreciate, and be awed by her work. Kind of like birds liking shiny things... they're not going to care whether it's scrap metal, a tiffany's ring, or gears from a handcrafted watch if it's the kind of shiny they like/want.
I don't mind. Making threads will gain her attention but that doesn't mean she'll gain more watch. It's unrelated. It depends on people's taste, and what i wanted to know is what's up with people's taste
Although let me tell you bigger tits exist on real people and they get through life without many complications until they're really old and grey, you're generalizing quite heavily here which is evidence for your prejudice against tits
ALSO... They're drawings, stop taking them so seriously.. They're supernatural part cat murder machines, the basic laws of humanity don't necessarily apply
DiseasedDoll WE HAVE PROOF! DETECTIVE SHIKE HAS DONE IT AGAIN!
As a matter of fact, nerds like us achieve elite ranks like engineers, doctors, scientists. And there's no such thing as starving doctors/ engineers. I happen to be good at both thanks so much to God. Remember that kid you mocked in high school for being a nerd? Well, he's a member of the congress now FYI.
You also end up in basements leeching off your parents
However, let me tell you that there's a Doctor who lives above me, he's under the poverty line.. There are also many examples of Engineers, scientists, teachers who have to live off microwave noodles because they can't afford their living costs due to innumerable amounts of debt getting educated for those jobs
God hasn't done shit for you
I never mocked anyone in high school for being a nerd, I mocked people for being idiots
I don't even live in the US, so no. Nobody I knew is now a member of congress. So you're wrong there too
Oh, no i don't miss know-nothing-at-all. do your research.
And about that doctor guy, research has shown that living above parasites, such as you, decrease productivity by 327,88%. and look WHO's actually living in a basement? look who's confessing? Oh the irony.
So, if you are not living in the US, where could you possibly live? Oooh let me guess, is it somalia? Wait, it couldn't be somalia, it's DEFINITELY somalia.
Oh but i am an educated person, and please, the title 'lord' is too much for me to bear, let alone shitlord. I'm a very modest person you see. Why don't you take the title for yourself? After all you're the one generous enough to give random people titles. "i hereby dub thee, shitlord. Arise my knight."
