Writer wanted for comic colaboration
Hi guys,
i wanted to make a short comic for a while now, but after some trying i had to find out that making up a good story is far moore complicated than i thought - let alone my english skills are not that well.
So, what am i looking for?
Ideally, you are a very good english speaking (native?) writer of fantasy stories (anything from tollkien to pratchett) and could provide me with a short story of yours, that i will try to draw.
It should be short enough to fit on ~ 10 pages, and ideally open and close a part of a story arc (i mean it should work on its own, without 100 pages before and after - but certainly it could be just a part of a bigger story of yours).
I am never going to sell anything that may grow from this collaboration, but might use it in my portfolio.
Swordfights, magic, elfes, trolls and dwarfs and such are apprechiated but not a must
so, if you think you have something interesting let me know.

i know when reading a novel, everyone has a slightly different picture in his head, even when the characters are described very detailed. i drew the characters of the first story how i imagined them, let me know what you think. i took a slightly cartoonis approach to match the funny/slapstick kind of vibe i got from the story (-and not just because its so much easier to draw

I am interested if you have the time. I am used to writing a lot if I can image the story well. Though I have not written fantasy in a while, I am certain it will be not problem. My stories are normally short, unless I get into them and so the story drags on.

Hey there. I was on forums about to post - looking for an artist - and saw your post. I dig your style and your sequential art. I'm based out of San Diego, CA and actually just got my 4 day Comic Con pass today, woohoo! I have a 4 page future shock written for 2000AD that was submitted (and was respectfully declined, lol, a while back.) It has sort of a Tolkian/Dungeons and Dragons feel to it and I have been meaning to expand it a bit as well as give it some art to add to my portfolio too. I always love collaborating with new artists and never go into a project expecting riches so if you want me to brush off my old future shock or write something new send me a message and I'll give you my contact info. I'm interested in working with you. I've not done any of that sort of fantasy thing before, nor have I ever written for a comic that lasts more than about 7 panels. I've read two books about making comics, but that's about it. I'm pretty fantastic at speaking English, as I am an American native. You just seem like a cool guy, and I think it'd be neat to work with someone through a minor communication barrier. And to try out a new story genre.

I think you made a dense description of the scenes, as well as dialoges that use just the amount of words needed to deliver the plot. (good for speech bubbles, i guess).
