An odd thing to praise, I know. But have you ever thought of how useful rubber bands are? They help hold stuff together, they help you open tight lids, and they can even help get stuck screws out! They are so small and simple, yet so very versatile.

I salute the bands that have served faithfully, without promise of reward, and honor the memory of those that have sacrificed their elasticity or structural integrity in the line of duty.
can't interact with them after developing an allergic reaction to latex, however it sure was fun to sit around and torment teachers by putting their giant bag of over a few hundred into one neat ball that we then, in turn, bounced.
Eh, fair enough. There's a lot of things I've used rubber bands for. I've got all my sorted colored pencils grouped together with rubber bands, I've used them to keep long power cords shortened, and I've used them to keep caps on flash drives from getting lost.
