H O N O R - Mulan

In times like these, it’s remembering to committing to do the right thing even when it doesn’t seem right by everyone else around us. And to be honorable, have integrity and strength in our morality and choices. I feel Mulan embodied that idea, whether she’s deemed a real figure in Chinese history or a courageous character in a ballad from ancient folklore. I created this piece of Mulan based on her animated look with some inspiration from the live action version, of after her victory against the Mongolian hoard. Maybe she's celebrating by looking at China from the rooftops that's still standing after the invasion. Mulan is still one of my favorite Disney characters and I'm glad I chose her to paint for my Disney series. Anyways, feedback and comments are always welcome!
