Tragedy by forest-dream Tragedy by forest-dream
Yesterday the rain sokaed me through. I was waiting for my mother, and as I was standing there, I saw a little shoe on the road, in a puddle. It was a little child's shoe. So, there were we, the shoe and me, and in my thoughts I weaved a story around the shoe in the puddle. Perhaps it fell out from an auto, perhaps the little owner suffered an accident and the little shoe was left here, as no-one cared about it.

I felt so alone, and the little shoe was alone too. I bent down, took it out from the puddle and brought it to a place where it could dry a little. And then we were waiting: the shoe and me. Soon my mother came and took me home but the little shoe was left there. I hope the little child's parents did find it and took it home.

P.S.: Special thanks to :iconcrudity:, his picture has helped me, how to paint the rain and water of the puddle. No place to go, even though I am not as good as him =D

Gouache.

Aww this is so cute and sad at the same time, amazing how much emotion can be held in a shoe. Definitely one of your bests. :)

Thank you!! :glomp: I think too that this is one of my bests, and what pleases me the most: Cru faved it. So kind from him. I plan making more paintings like this. I like to SEE not only to WATCH. This shoe was one of my lessons in seeing.

Yeah, seems like he's a really nice guy, I glanced over his gallery. :D I totally get what you mean about seeing and watching, I've been trying out something similar. ;)

Years ago, when I saw a film, an old Indian was speaking to a young boy and telling him 'You are only WATCHING,but never SEEING" After the film came to the end, I went out and looked at our house, and discovered a LOT OF details which I never realised before. Since then I usually try to SEE and not only WATCH. ;) It's pretty hard, isn't it? :(

Yeah it is, but I think it helps in just about everything, especially when you're looking at people. It's amazing how much you can tell about a person if you actually look at their actions. :D

The rain was hard. I was like "How to paint that it is WET? How to show that the world is wet?* First I painted a little version of this pic, trying out, how to use the effects, how to paint the raindroplets. Then I took a deep sigh and began to paint this bigger version. I am contented with the result :)

I love it, specially the history behind it. I create histories in my mind as well, when I see something interesting. Shoe is awesome. Puddle and rain too. Sweetness. Shoe will never find its owner, but some homeless dog will carry it as a friend or toy, for sure ;)

Thank you for commenting on this pic. I was afraid that you might become angry that I was referring to your art.

I hope the shoe has find a homeless dog, or a homeless man who will carry it with him as a luck-bringer. :)
