A major inspiration behind this issue was Square Root of Minus Garfield No. 9, where all the daily strips from 2007 were color-averaged and revealed the layout sterility in the strips. I thought I had started developing a similar issue with all of my webcomics in general, so I did rough sketches of some issues to find some commonalities in my layout and placed content in areas it wouldn't normally belong. I also applied this style and thought to the cover of the issue.
