Since openCanvas6 has been released, I've been tinkering with it's brush engine and so far this is the result. If you have no idea of how to customize your brushes and are getting tired of OC's defaults, check those out!

Just click up there (to the right) to download and follow the instructions included in the Readme. Easy stuff. Brushes are for OC6-only, but the swatches outta be compatible with any version of OC that supports the feature (along with a Photoshop version being provided).

Dunno what openCanvas is to begin with? Check it: www.portalgraphics.net/en/oc/

UPDATE 22/July/2015:
- NEW ICONS! More compact and lightweight for a more fluid workflow, and with the brush names (or shorter versions of such) straight on them for faster recognition.
- Added more brushes and tweaked already-existant ones.
- Removed "Bats" brush due to extremely low useability.

Thanks for this set. The versatility of these will be quite useful. I quite love the texture of the dirt brush; so much character in it. Can't wait to use these in my art.

You are such a life saver, you have no idea how much I'm tired of default setting in oc6, I'm also curious ho you make these brushes? Do you have a guide of some sort for this? Thanks in advance!

Edit: Do you know any programs that allows me to open pmt file?Apparently, my pc can't open it, thank you!

On how to make the brushes, well, I just fussed around with the settings to see what comes of it, for the most part.

As for opening the pmt file, you can open it from OC's brush window. Other than that, I'm afraid there's nothing.

Nah, same thing, really. I guess buying straight from PGN they get a bigger cut, but functionally they're about the same.

You are seriously my hero, I've been dying for custom brushes in oC and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to make any for myself or find any online, these are awesome. Thanks for making these!

Great stuff! had a lot of fun toying around. I looked at your layout, and realize I never really ever utilize the pen nib window (I suppose its something important)

I'm colorblind myself, may I ask how does your swatches work? (or in general?) I'm studying it right now. If I look at the the colors vertically, it kinda looks like it matches the rainbow spectrum with the weird white streak in the middle of yellow and blue colors. Should i assume the second row are all derivatives of red? and the last row are derivatives of purple? What is the top row about?

and i see some kind of brown color on the right most column, is there other brown colors in the swatch I'm not seeing?

Sorry about the bombardment of questions, heh. I want to try sticking with a swatch this time instead of eye dropping from photographs or other people's work :P

Oh, it's ok. You see, some of what's in there is put for my own personal use (I did make this for myself at first, haha).

The top row consists of a teal-like color I typically use for rudimentary framing during the sketch phase. The colors right next to it are the basic CMYK and RGB tones, which come in handy every now and then. The grayscale after that is one I use for shading purposes. If you notice, it's Luminosity values are kind of irregular, as with the other grayscale on the last column, their luminosity changes 10 by 10, making those more useful for more general purposes. The browns after that are for lineart coloring. As for the rest, rows are for different Hue values, while the 3 different columns for each Hue group has a change in saturation.

Hope all of that helped!
