I find as I look through people's works of art that there are many, many pictures of pure excellence and that are extremely appealing for one reason and another. I will fave them, because I recognise aspects of expertise, good compositional value, styles of artwork that I particularly like (this is always a very individual thing) and of course, the aesthetic value that's inherent within these pictures.
However, there's another facet of art that I find intriguing. It goes deeper than the visual or even the emotional impact, reaching somewhere within to a spot which also reaches out, appreciates, and identifies in some strange way. This is something that's almost impossible to put into words, but the nearest I can get to it is Inspirational, something of the Divine - certainly extremely spiritual.
