So...It's been awhile since I've posted a journal here...

I'm starting a new page specifically to advertise my crafts for sale.  I'll still be using this page for my personal and fun pieces, though.  I'm still deciding whether or not I'll be moving all of the glass etching images over or not, so a heads up if you're wondering why stuff from my gallery has disappeared.  And hopefully I'll be starting an etsy account to make buying my crafts easier.





For those of you who actually read these things:
Other than that the only significant thing was finally graduating college.  Now I have to finish my resume and find a job...yay me...

I'm thinking about doing commissions with etched glass.  I'm still determining pricing, though.  Also, instead of just buying from what glass I have available, if you live in the area you could always give me the specific piece you want etched.

A heads up, when I have a good chunk of free time, my next little project will be a set of 4 Tardis glasses from Doctor Who.  And yes, they will be for sale.

I'm off to Corvallis for who knows how long to await for the birth of my niece!

I just got to spend practically the whole day in the ER.....not fun.....

What I thought was appendicitis actually turned out to be something else entirely.  Still feel like crap, though....

I think I'm gonna shut up now and go to bed and rest....

But first let me say that being on painkillers while watching a Mythbusters marathon was hilarious!

So I have started trying my hand at etching glass, and so far I'm really enjoying it.  It's amazing what results you can get with different tools.  At the moment I'm only really working on one project, as obvious by the WIP shot I have in my gallery fav.me/d4rcdk4

I'm seriously contemplating the thought of etching in my spare time and selling the results, or if people want something specifically they can commission me.  My only question is: is there anyone out there who is interested in buying etched glass products from me?  Etching is dishwasher safe, unlike painted glass products which need to be hand-washed.

In other art news, I've experimented in animation, video, and photography during the past two terms.  I'm also currently in the Visual Storytelling course working on my final.  Using video, stop motion, and using found footage my partner and I will be pitting Batman vs Lupin III.  And when we're done, we plan on going to McDonalds for some fast food and My Little Pony toys.
