Hoepoe by flysch Hoepoe by flysch
It's funny how my mood influences my will to paint. One would think that painting is an automatic task: put colours on board, mix them up, add them to canvas, brush a bit and voilà, a new artwork done!
Nothing furthermost from the truth.

I've lived through a really dark period - to use an understament - and together with my smile, my brushes were forgotten for a while. A really long while. But now that I can find again a bit of light among darkness, my acrylics called to me and compelled me to finish this lonely canvas, on hiatus since last July.
More than a Hoepoe it reminds me of a Phoenix :)

Done with acrylics and enamel on canvas 25x35 cm.

This is a lovely painting. I am intrigued, how do you use enamel in an acrylic painting on canvas?

Well, to be homest I used it because it was the only gold paint I had at home at that moment :P I improvised, letting a few enamel drops slide down while holding the canvas vertical.
The painting itself was already finished.
