First week of college completed!

I just have it Monday, Wednesday and Friday... I'm only taking English, Psychology, Choir, and Astronomy.

Astronomy is the biggest class and the only one I made a friend in haha. It's only difficult when I have to solve math-type problems because my brain works pretty slowly for those. My friend reads them once (they're word problems) and knows what to do right away, but I have to sit there and read them like 5 times... >.<

English is just annoying because I already know everything but I have to write essays that have boring topics. (A narrative memoir about something that happened within 24 hours. Does she know how boring my life is..? Ugh.)

Choir is fun because the teacher really gets excited when we do something right. The only annoying thing is the religious music, but that's kind of to be expected in choir since they consider it "classical" or whatever.

Psychology is interesting, but I'm still trying to figure out the teacher. She's pretty sarcastic so she's either pretty funny or seems snobby lol.... It depends.

And I'm still not sure what degree I'm getting.
I was thinking psychiatrist or psychologist with an East Asian Study & American Minority degree, but I'm still leaning towards the business and hospitality degrees to go into the hotel business >.<
On the other hand, I might still want an art degree... so yeah haha.

My husband asked me what I would want to do if I only had 6 months to live and was sure I couldn't fail. That would be traveling the world, so I think the hotel business would be best for that. I'm just worried that I like the idea of it more than actually running it, which essentially means I'm afraid of failing.
That's a bad reason not to do something, so yeah. Leaning towards business and hospitality lol, but I still can't be sure! >.<
At least I have about a year to figure it out since I have to take generals first.

It's good that you're taking a variety of classes, at least they sound interesting so far. Yeah astronomy classes are huge, I have never taken that class sadly, but from my friends had it and there was at least 200-300+ students in it. Anyways hope your classes continue to be fun and interesting :) . It's only the end of the 2nd week on school for me and it feels like its gone on too long for some classes ._.

I'm a sophomore in college now so it's been a while since my first week. Hope it's going well! I'm taking 17 hours this year >.< I'm getting a minor in astronomy and I'm looking forward to taking some 400-level classes next year ^_^ Sarcastic psychology teachers I've also had, and as long as they don't turn on you, they're typically pretty cool, just gotta get used to them.

Haha oh, sarcastic psychology teachers are actually a thing? XD That amuses me!
Wow, a minor in astronomy? I like astronomy class so I can see how that could be fun :D

yeah, I'm majoring in Mechanical Engineering but I'm interested in NASA and space stuff so I thought the astronomy minor would be a interesting addition (though I'm not enjoying the physics as much =_=") It's a nice feature to be able to major in one topic but take another topic that you're interested in as a minor. However, some majors require specific minors so that's something to look at when you finally decide on a major ^_^

I'm afraid of Physics haha... I'm glad it's not required XD;

I've dragged my feet more times that I care to admit, and now at 27 I STILL have yet to do anything with my life. So I say go for it, its better to try something and fail than not do anything and STILL fail. At least with the first you grow and learn things.

I had forgotten about that commission x3 I forgot what I had asked for. lol Well it will be a nice surprise when I see it pop up on the inbox

Glad to hear college is more or less fun for you, as for myself I'll be putting in some applications for Cable companies and I'm thinking of starting a SMALL computer repair business since that's the only thing I'm good at. Still working out an outline. :shrug:

Nice to hear from you :glomp: I hope you all are doing well, and tell your husband I said hi.

That's true XD Well I'm 26 and am kind of in the same position. Besides getting married and having kids, I've done nothing >.< So I'm glad it feels like I'm moving forward now.

Really? XD hahaha Actually, it's taking so long because you told me to draw what I want XD; It always takes me forever to come up with a good idea >.<;

That would be cool :D I think owning a business would be good, even if it is small XD

Thanks! XD :hug: I hope things are going good for you too!

Aw, well don't worry too much about specializing right now! Just try to enjoy it! At least you have a good variety of classes to get you into things. :D And it's great that Matt is being supportive of you, too. And I hope you are able to travel the world someday! I'd like to do the same some day. :)

Yeah XD I just can't help but worry though... I feel like I should keep trying to figure it out before my generals are over and I'm forced to pick something >.<
Haha yup XD I supported his insanity of constantly switching jobs until he found exactly what he wanted to do. I'm glad I picked a guy like him who let's me have my turn hehe :D
I hope we can both travel in the future then! :3
