idk why but mspaint looks a bit better, probs i think that just cause it was probs harder to draw in that and therefore probably took more work

That's really cool! I don't know why, but the MS paint one kinda reminds me of Izumi from Fullmetal Alchemist? Maybe it's the hair..

Here's a link to my OC!
Karena Character Sheet
It's the main character of my book! If you drew her, I would use the drawing for the cover of it. But I won't beg, and I won't try and get pity. *Le sigh*

ALSO, her hair is like...I guess I can only describe it as an elven braid? It kinda wraps around the head and then goes down the back, still a braid. There's also a ponytail version of this hairstyle, but I prefer the braid one

If you look it up on Google, it's not one of the complex ones. Look at one of the more simple images and I'm pretty sure that would be it

Personally I think Paint Tool Sai is better with more options and tools, saying that I have been looking into mediabang paint which looks to be the best of the three.

I use FireAlpaca. It's the same thing as Medibang.

Holy cow! Even though you can tell a definite difference between the two programs, you were still able to make MS Paint sing a melody, relatively speaking. I've got a lot of practice ahead of me before my writing is at the level your painting is at. Well done.

I don't know why exactly, but I get the "I didn't even try to make the bottom one look good" vibe from this comparison. While I love the hair you gave her, MSP really is more than that.
(Coming from a person who uses MSP for a lot of things)

Haha, not at all! I gave both programs the same time limit while drawing to be fair. Posing is easier in programs that allow you to use layers.

It's interesting, because MSP really isn't that hard in terms of posing and sketch removing and so on, but maybe that's just my -heavily- biased opinion because I grew us using MSP, and even though I have a lot of other things too MSP is still my favorite of them all.

The reason MS Paint is considered bad is just because is doesn't have as many options as the others. ^_^ It's possible to learn any program and make amazing art in it, but MS Paint is just extra difficult to do that in (Which makes it considered worse). This was my first time using Paint, so the lack of tools and no pressure sensitivity made it nearly impossible for me to instantly be decent at it. If it had more options, then maybe.

Holy fuzzlers, for a first time your result is actually pretty neat, I take back my first comment then!
I guess I've never had a problem with MSP also because I use mouse to draw, so I just never really had any "pen pressure" or anything like that ^^;
If you'd like, I can tell you about some msp tricks or something ^^;

Personally, I think it depends on what you want your art to be like. If you're style is cartoony and a bit simple, MS Paint is just as wonderful as any other program. But if you're trying to go for something more complex, SAI is better with it's more varied tools. However, both can be used fantastically!

I'm a strictly MS Paint user, bc the last time I downloaded SAI, my computer broke ;-;.

Well, to someone who has a small amount of experience with digital illustration:

Top picture: I know what I'm doing.
Bottom picture: I kinda know what I'm doing.
And for a third picture of scribbles and stick figures: I don't know what I'm doing.

take this a trick when using ms paint do your sketch first then the lineart to get rid of the sketch select all (ctrl-a) invert the colors then go into properties which you can find by clicking file changing it to black and white clicking out invert the colors again and changing the properties back to colors. Select all (make sure that it says transparent selection) copy the line work and now colors! once your done with the colors just past the line work again and badabing badaboom. But if you're doing a background before you start copy the character or thing (still on transparent selection) OH and if you select something with transparent on then anything that is fully white is going to be see-through so i would recommend using a very light grey instead of white. Anyways once you have copied your foreground object/person color your back ground dont worry about coloring over them since after your done just copy and paste and your done! If your ever want more tricks im gonna be posting some soon so not sayin your have to but IF you WANT to.

(P.S i love your videos i binge watch them like 24/7)
