Tokotines 2025 - Toko Takeover
She had lost count of how many days it had been. How long had she been stuck in his odd place after a freak weather storm ravaged the farm? Days rolled into months and those months felt like years. Time didn’t feel the same in this place. But, it hadn’t all been bad. While Alvara might have found herself in this strange new time she hadn’t been left alone. Her mother, Gwen, and a friend, Seca had also been struck by the blinding bright light that led them to this place. Crashing waves of blue onto white sandy beaches. People wearing strange clothing while murmuring as the Tokotas strolled by. Even the Tokotas in this strange place were different looking than what Alvara had remembered. It wasn’t until later the three found that this wasn’t the home they remembered. Whatever magic was in that bolt of light had tossed them into a whole new world. One of the past. Gwen knew right away where they were for she had seen bits and pieces of this place on the stable TV. They had been flung to

2025 Feb Monthly Quest: A Gift for Koto
Seeing so many people huddled together in the middle of the small trade village was unusual. At least around this time of year. Winter was still in full swing which meant the farmers market wasn’t open and the shops dotted around the village usually never offered anything that would cause the gathering of a large crowd. This piqued the interest of a certain young woman who with a few friends and Tokotas had come to drop off some pelts that needed to be tanned before being sold.
“Any ideas why everyone is gathered?” Cassandra’s attention fell to the other two who could only shrug at her question. Her friends Judas and Wild had come along to help with the pelt transportation while Cass would be the one talking. Course it wasn’t a trip into town without some trusty Tokotas by their side. Jenny was always the adventurous one who enjoyed being with Cass during their travels. With Judas was the young male Zesiro who had become a member of the family at this point with how often he stayed

Her date was… interesting. Not much of a talker. Well, honestly, neither was she. Avani always saw herself as the quiet one. This Z’eal though? He reminded her of the dark broody type. A Tokota who would rather not be front and center. In a way, he was a lot like her.
Back home, Avani was always the last to say something in a group or the one who kept to herself while everyone else went about making friends. Seems right now her handler wanted her to be a little more upfront and had brought her to some celebration. Tokotine was a new thing for the young Sinaka. She had never experienced something like this before and it was a bit unnerving. So many people and a lot of things to do! How did one manage to see everything before the day was done?!
Luckily, the crowd thinned and Avani found herself front and center facing another Toko around her height. “Avani, this is Z’eal. He’ll be your date for the day.” Her handler’s voice reached her ears as she glanced up toward them before back to

INTRO
The paper printed upon the large wanted board in town requested help for an rather unusual problem. One that many deemed a joke and thus left alone. With Winter still looming the large clouds above had caused much of the local wildlife to flee for warmer climates until the snow melted away. Few places saw any forms of life and those that did were often too dangerous for any sane person to travel through. Yep, rumors had spread around the village of odd little birds having been seen. Ones that shouldn’t be living in such a cold area.
For awhile people merely thought they were seeing things, but soon the strange birds began taking items and flying off with them. It wasn’t rare to see wild birds taking things, but these weren’t just any wild birds. At least that is what people had been saying. More rumors surfaced as word spread of sightings of the great Deity Ikios with tiny birds fluttering around their back. Maybe Ikios sees some keen to the birds. Maybe they just allow them

Odd how everything had come full circle. The amazing adventures and interesting plants that had been experienced. Lots of new friends that had also been made during their time traveling. Guess now it would be the last of those adventures. Unless new plants were discovered. Who knows what might happen then! “Feels so weird being back in this area. So close to home.” Cassandra Thatcher sat atop a lanky pinkish brown Miralta, Raha, while her comrade and friend, Ryan, sat beside her riding a tundra colored Dire, Grail. A third Tokota, Beren, stood off to the side watching and waiting for the handlers to make a move. They had come out this way pure Dr. Mitchel’s request since it would seem he had come across news of a special mushroom in the area. They had no real name for it and simply called it a Glowy or just Mushroom. Guess they had no samples to go off of and in order to properly name it needed said samples first.
Everything was coated in white with Winter having hit, but news of a

Snowfall 2024 - A Crazy Crestie Crested Christmas
Tis the night before Snowfall and all through the house not a single thing stirred, not even the mouse. For outside of the home a chilly wind did blow as a rather unhappy Borga cursed St. Nicholas’ coal. Inside a barn is where the story first starts as a crowd of crested Tokotas take shelter from the storm.
“And that is why we celebrate the first falling of the snow. To remember family and those who love us.” With a paw placed over the leather bound book, Kat gently closed it as bright blue eyes happily looked from one face to the other. Having taken on the lead in storyteller she seemed rather pleased with herself even if a few of the others looked a tad… bored. “That’s it?” A grumbling groan left the young crestie’s lips as Domine rose to her paws and moved toward the barn door. “I feel like all the good touchy feely stories are just so… well, boring! I mean, look at this. Snowfall doesn’t really look very warm and forgiving does it?” To prove her point the young female pushed open

2024 Nov Monthly Quest: Snakes like Apples?!
Winter seemed to be fast approaching which meant everyone was now hands on deck trying to gather what they needed to survive the next few months. Catching any little prey available or fishing in the nearby streams seemed to be something most people found themselves doing. Cassandra Thatcher along with those who worked on her farm were apart of those hunting for nearby stock. Sadly, not much was out there. Returning after a day filled with empty sacks she swung herself off of her Toko Jenny while Ryan who had riding behind her slipped from Zesiro’s saddle. Beside the short mane, Galan trotted up with Star hot on his heels. Last of the crew to follow after was a large beastly creature who quickly shifted back into a human form. Riden was one of the best trackers Cass had on her farm, but even he couldn’t find anything that they could catch and bring back. Any large animals had already left the area and hunting rabbits all day wouldn’t do much. Five rabbits wouldn’t even fill Cass’

2024 October Monthly Quest: Cup of Coffee
Fall had sprung itself upon the lands and a sense of community came with it. A warmth that often spread through-out the tribes, villages and farms only grew the closer the frozen Winter weather got. Maybe it also happened to be because of all the festivals that went on during this time. People rushing about trying to by gifts, decorations or other paraphernalia to fill their homes with. For this day it seemed everyone was excitedly putting together their spookiest or most clever of outfits to prepare for the Tokoween festivals that would soon start. The village was a chatter with people sharing stories, selling their Halloween goods or just enjoying one another's company. However this year prompted something a little different. It came in the form of a stage laid out flat with boxes of coffee beans placed near the back and giant prop cups in front. A slightly balded man with a tiny sprout of hair atop his head dressed as an undead barista shouted about the benefit of his wares while

2024 September Monthly Quest: Pretentious Parakeet
A message came without a small glass bottle that had been drifting among the waves. Within the bottle said message contained a wanted bounty for a group of birds. These birds had stolen something from the writer who wished to have it returned. If said treasure was returned a massive reward would be given. Well, anyone would probably be hesitant. Especially considering that the only name attached to the letter was that of a semi famous group of pirates who had said to be bothering people off the Narnvak coastline. Most people were glad the pirates had gotten a taste of their own medicine. Others were interested in the treasure reward that might be given. Near the Underwater Caves is where the birds were said to be living, but did people really want to travel that far? The letter itself was copied and printed out before being posted on a large board filled with other wanted ads. Mostly easier tasks for people to complete. For a good while it sat there until it caught the eye of a certain

The Phantom’s Finger wasn’t a place one should mess with if one didn’t know the landscape. A lot of people had gotten lost or worse, never made it back home. Whenever someone had to go up there for whatever reason it was best to hire a guide. Well, luckily for Cassandra Thatcher she didn’t need to hire anyone. A rather friendly cowboy knew these lands well enough and having gone with her during their adventures in a certain magical cave they had become friends. Josiah Ward was happy enough to help her and she needed all the help she could get as well. Finding a special flower that grew within the sandy dunes wouldn’t be easy. Some called it the Disappearing Daisy because one minute it was there and the next it was gone. Others simply called it the Desert Daisy to shorten the name. Cass was just happy that not only Josiah was helping, but one of the locate Tokota packs as well. Reaching the town just south of the Phantom’s Finger Cass and her group of Tokotas met up with Bronco. The
