So, I'm alive. Sorry I haven't been around lately, but life had been interesting for me for a while. I got employed (finally) part time, lost some people in my life (to heroine overdose, motorcycle crash, and cancer respectively). That all happened in the span of two months (first happened my first day on the job, and the last two within a week of each other).
Finally, I know I should have informed you guys earlier, Stinker passed away as well. She slipped outside in November, and despite all our effort to find her (door knocking, hanging posters, etc..) I got a call a week later from someone who had found her body. I gave the reward to an animal charity, and tried to move on. We think that she suffered a form of dementia in the end, which is why she was unable to find her way back.
This is where it gets better. For Christmas my (super awesome) parents got me a new camera which I've been learning to use since then. Then in January I decided it was time to get a new cat, and to adopt one to help them as we helped Stinker (she was a stray). After some looking I ended up at The Humane's Society, and met two cats who were brothers. They were the only cats that were adopted yet, so I had met them in the room and couldn't decide which one I wanted.
"Plus," I mentioned to the woman helping me out. "I don't want to separate them." At that point she offered to give me one for free if I adopted the other. So that's how I ended up with two cats (Hify and Wildfire). They're a handful, and George isn't their biggest fan, but it's getting easier and funner to have them. Then, two days ago I got myself two piercings with my tax return (a second lobe piercing and a helix). So life is looking better, and I've found inspiration for photography again. I have some new pictures I'll be posting later tonight once the edits are done.
Glad to be back!
