Gorge by floydiac Gorge by floydiac
What is it about the Spanish and building everything right where it might fall off?

Thankfully I managed to get this shot in whilst avoiding capturing the pipe that was pumping something rather precarious into that stream.

Edit: Changed Border

I love the natural green cliffs. You don't suppose they're so green because the pipe was pumping... *whispers* sewage? I like the green fields near the top. Reminds me of when I went to China. ^^

Nah, it think it has something to do with the minerals in the rocks. The land around is very fertile.

I wish I could go to China. I hear it's a beautiful country.

What a very unusual spot to establish a town. The scenery would be kinda dangerous but will give an impressive-looking backyard, I know I wouldn't mind living in such an interesting environment.

Not too keen on the haze though, it gives the false impression that it may be over-exposed but you couldn't do anything about the weather though. But the location of the photo gives a good viewpoint of whats high and low.

Yeah, the haze was a bit of a bugger, but we were quite high in the mountains, and there was a surprising distance involved.

At least it has depth...lol...

Glad you like the shot though.

And yeah, it was a beutiful town, always worth a visit.

Stuffs really cheap there too, seemingly because it is not completely overrun by British people yet, unlike the rest of Spain.

This is a beautiful view.
It seems to me that you avoid postprocessing pictures - here but there seems to be a mysterious depth (due to the haze?)
A loveley place I once would like to visit :)

To a degree, I like to keep the photo raw, but some imperfections I like to work on. This one, in particular needs a bit of work.

It is quite hazy. It was taken, after all a few thousand feet from sealevel, nearing the end of winter. :)

The location is Ronda, Spain. A fair few miles from the coast, it will take an hour 1/2 or so to get the from Marbella on the Costa Del Sol, but it is well worth the visit. Particularly out of season, it feels more cultured than the rest of southern Spain.

I wanted to visit Ronda on my way to Portugal - but they broke my car in Granada - and stole my camera then - .... long story :)

lol, i doubt i could withstand the heat though, wearing t-shirts in the winter does have its drawbacks...
