I was soaked from head to toe in dripping red. From birth I was wicked and everything was red. My childhood was red. Drenched, seeping into my bones. I tried to wipe the red away with a cloth, but it only rubbed and smeared the red in more. My teenage years were red. I stumbled through a red world, the blazing white sky glaring down on me. Red demons taunt that I'll never be clean. I know I am sick.
But then a gentle hand, glistening like morning snow, washes my ugly red world clean. I can only watch, as I could never dream of doing this work myself. My adult life is now white with hope. Sometimes, when I forget, my world can seem to be growing red. But then the strong white hands remind me that His work cannot be undone. I can't wait to go home.
