This is an image from the last cold wave in late December, showing a close view on the thick layer of ice covering the trees. A quite refreshing sight with that low winter sun and pure blue sky.

That looks dangerous, but it's a great shot. You're right. The blue is a great contrast for the white ice.

No worries, it's very light, quite harmless! Not like big icicles near a waterfall for example.
