Hello and welcome to the other side! Flash Fiction Month is now over and I am pretty sure I heard a collective sigh of relief last night
As we relax in what remains of the summer sunshine, let us use that as inspiration for our August prompt:
theme: heat
optional element: conflict
Keeping it simple this month as we recuperate! I am looking forward to your stories. Feel free to link them below as well as submitting them to the 2016 prompts folder
Stay flashy!

January prompt reminder
Hallo,
Don't forget there is still time to get your stories in for the January prompt!
Here's a link to the original journal entry with the details - http://fav.me/dcvv3c9
FFL prompt - January 2019
Hello and happy new year! I hope 2019 brings you many great things.
Perhaps you would like to start off the year with a new prompt? The first prompt of the year is to write a story (1000 words or fewer) based around a song of your choice.
Does your song set the tone for the story? Is a line of lyrics used as an important piece of dialogue? Does your main character fall in love while the song plays in the background?
This scene from American Psycho is a great example of how music can really make the scene. (Don't watch it if you are squeamish, btw)
There is a brand new 2019 FFL prompts folder for you to put your stories in.
All the best

FFL August 2018 prompt
Hello there,
August's theme is - FAIRY TALES
Be it something you read to your grandson while he is home sick from school, a cautionary lesson, full of helpful forest animals or blood and gore you have most likely come across some version of a fairy tale. Let's have your take on these time-tested stories.
Remember to keep it to 1000 words or fewer and to submit to the 2018 prompt folder by the end of the month.
Stay flashy!
