Move your mouse over the building and the car wreck, to see the focus change!

To see how to pull this off, check out my Car wreck lens change focus tutorial.

Jednostavno - a vrlo efektno!

This is nice! I like the idea, though when focussing on the building, you should've made the blur on the ground near the car a little bit softer.
When focussing on the car the same thing but it's not that noticable

I agree! I didn't refine it. I got too sucked in in explaining and didn't smooth out the blur!

I second what Peccator said: the edge should be blurred as well.

Look at the bounds around both, the fore- and the background, they are blurred as well, so that, when the background is blurred, it is bigger than the unblurred version and is visible underneath the foreground.

Hints:
- photoshop/gimp are much better image manipulation tools than flash is (of course), use those tools to cut the image in pieces.

- do not create the masks like in the tutorial!
You have to think about where the blur should be out of the bounds of the picture (in you case, the line between the fore- and background) and where it shouldn't (bounds of the whole picture).
Expand the mask as necessary.

- blur the picture itself, not the masked picture. this way you have much better controls over the blurred bounds.

Interesting solution! That yould well be an improvement, I never thought of that approach.

when focusing on the background, the wreck bounds should be blured too, but they are sort of cut off. Nevertheless, nice effect!
