At Dawn

My interpretation of the crossing between the rich, blossoming fields of Elwynn Forest, to the dark, mysteriously spooky lands of Duskwood - set at dawn.

Various brushes were used, painting created from scratch.
Feedback is highly appreciated!

Very impressive!
The only thing that bothers me is this … white … smoke thingie on the middle left part of the painting. What exactly is that supposed to be? It looks a bit unfinished to me …

I was also going to ask that.

Thankyou very much for your lovely comment! :happybounce:

It's meant to be some highly formed fog, but now that I look at it with you pointing it out, I think I'll be going back to this. I have another piece in the works right now, so it should be out either later/early tomorrow.

Definitely unfinished though, yes!

You're very welcome :aww: Looking at these two awesome pieces in your gallery I was surprised that you haven't uploaded more so far, you got some skills! :D

Haha, I've made that experience too – at some point I tend to lose track of the "whole picture" so that some details remain unfinished^^

You live and learn, as they say!

I've recently found a trick to cut down composition time so this week will be full of paintings to come. In the works as I speak with one. Thankyou so much for the favourites though, it means a lot. :'D Hug

True, true :D

Tell me about this trick haha, my paintings always consume whole days and I just don't know how to speed the process up …
Okay, have my watch, now I'm curious about your future paintings! :meow:

Amazing work, wow!
What did you use to paint it?

Hi LM123, thankyou for your lovely comment.

I used Photoshop CS6 to paint this piece. I used references from environment concept arts to give me inspiration. Other than that, it was just improvised until I had fleshed out a good amount.
