Perhaps the most interesting update is that there's a new excerpt from Fracture available to read here on my blog
. I've actually been making some writing progress lately and have kind of mapped out a better process for myself, so hopefully things will go a little faster from here.
I haven't posted here since I re-did my website, did I? While you're checking out my blog, take a look around the rest of the website too. I completely revamped it at the beginning of the year, so it's got some new features—including a glossary/pronunciation guide
—and a whole new look.
I've recently become obsessed with the Lazarus graphic novel series by Greg Rucka. Anyone who likes interesting dystopian worldbuilding, warring factions with mafia-like structures, and badass lady antihero characters definitely needs to check it out.
Did y'all see this
wonderful piece of Ziva artwork done by the lovely Epantiras
last fall? I love it.
I took a vacation to Arizona back in March with some of my best friends and got to see the Grand Canyon for the first time. THAT was cool.
Went and saw the Avengers: Infinity War premiere with my sister. Loved it. Normally I've been avoiding premieres just because they make for kind of a late night and I have to get up super early in the morning, but this one was totally worth it, even though I was a zombie the next day. It was super fun to be there with a bunch of other knowledgeable, excited fans.
Also saw Solo a couple weeks ago. Enjoyed it. Didn't love
it the way I loved, say, Rogue One, but it was fun and definitely worth watching at least once for any Star Wars fan. I'll certainly watch it again.
A Quiet Place was also very good.
Since the start of the year, I've been replaying all the Fallout games since I hadn't played FO3 and FO:NV since they became backward compatible for Xbox One. I enjoyed both of them a lot more than I did the first time I played, partially because they just looked
so good in HD but also because I generally had a better understanding of the mechanics and gameplay. And I inevitably started a new playthrough of FO4 just recently. It's just so pretty.
I tuned in to Bethesda's E3 press conference Sunday night too. I've wanted to be excited for Fallout 76, but now that it's been confirmed to be multiplayer, I've pretty much lost interest. If they change it or add a singleplayer campaign/story, they'll have my attention. In the meantime, there are other things that have caught my eye, such as Starfield.
Annnnd that's all I can think of for now. As always, feel free to follow me on social media (particularly Twitter
) to stay in touch and keep up to date with what I'm doing.
