polar 1.4

An update to 1.3, which received a daily deviation -> [link]

Polar is a smooth and simple cursor set created by Eric Matthews [ECHM].

The cursors were created for software released under the GPL license -> [link]

I think these are the best cursors on the planet, so I had to port to XP.

Permission was also granted me by Eric Matthews:

Hi,

Sure, go ahead and release them.

Regards,
Eric

Original Cursors found here -> [link]

Changelog:

- Fixes to cursor mappings
- Highlight added to clean up outlines
- Added Blue and Green busy cursors as an option
- Changed move cursor
- Small changes to other cursors

Note: not all cursors in screenshot are used - i configured them to give you, the user, the most satisfaction

Instructions: unzip the file - there are 3 cursors (default, blue & green) - apply

Enjoy!

I don't get why these need a third party program to install the theme, when one can use stock Windows just fine.

when I converted these back in 2006, they weren't available for windows ... hence, the reason 'why' ;)

as stated in my comments, you need cursorxp software ... once you've installed that,
extract the cursors & double-click on the one you'd like to use ...

btw - i'm a Steelers fan!

Okay, I know how to make cursors...but how do I make new ones so it doesn't have a background? You know, crop the image so it isn't a square?. Do I need so sort of picture editor to do this, cuz all I have is Paint. If so, please give me the link to download this picture editing program.

i only convert cursors to xp, but i know the program INKSCAPE is popular for creating cursors

Can INKSCAPE remove a pictures background so it can be made into a cursor? because I can't figure out how to do that with the program you gave me.

and if it isn't too much of a hassle, could you replace the resize with double-ended arrows like in the screen shot? i would really appreciate it.

Nice set there. :)

I was wondering, what software did you use to make these, and is there a program that allows you to use all those alternate cursors to replace the default ugly ones in various applications?

Well I have no clue to what any of that does or that you yourself did anything, maybe you should write that in your description for people who don't know what that stuff is but wants to support you? :)

Rick, I am not criticizing you......yes, the description was informative as to what it does I presume and who you got it from.....I know nothing about what the stuff does......I think I will pass on these submissions from now on and only comment on works I can talk about ;)
