"15-minute fame" musicians, whose only course of creativity amounts to the quick buck, have literally asphyxiated the 1990's. They find it to be sufficient in declaring their induction to music history with ego-inflated godhood, while having the nerve to mock and point fingers at the forefathers of infinite music making. One often wonders if the hibernating state of progressive music will ever rule the mainstream again. It's discouraging to be confronted with the questionable popularity of modern rap, grunge and death metal that can be defined as one hit wonders that will leave an entire decade wondering, "what happened?" This music will not be recognized or played in the future, because it has no sustaining value. The only way that it moves someone is out of the room, and straight to the toilet.
