I'm not dead!

Uhm, wow.. it's been what? A year and a half since I last uploaded something on here? Woops.

Anyway, I've been busy, both art-wise and just in general. I've been working my butt off trying to improve at everything and myself as a person. I don't know how well that is working out but I'm trying and I don't think I could have possibly gone backwards.

This piece was done for a portfolio and it is my favorite in the bunch. I took astronomy my senior year of highschool and was inspired on a near daily basis. Despite what I learned, no, the nebulae in her hair is not a specifically charted specimen and the planets are not particularly in order.. But I really think it would have looked weird for them to be, considering the composition the woman and her hair provided. I was more interested in keeping balance and weight, rather than keeping true to science.

Anyway, I hope it is liked (: I certainly am proud of it, which is very rare for me.

medium: Prisma colored pencil
time taken: ~20 hrs

art by me, do not steal.
