Description
All in all, I did more cosplays in 2012 than I thought I was going to. This is my ninth year cosplaying, and have made 38(?) costumes to date.
Apparently I did 8 new costumes this year. Though, 2 of them are pretty much completely closeted, so it's more like 6 constructed costumes... which is how many I did last year... So, maybe it's not any more than 2011? Well, considering I thought I was nearly done with cosplay, it's more than I expected. (I'm getting old, yo)
This year marks the first time cosplaying from a webcomic! I hope to do more in the future to show my appreciation to all the great webcomickers out there!
It also marks some of the fastest turn-around times I've ever done. Like, "oh! This is a brand new thing! Let me whip out a cosplay!". That sort of thing. (I usually prefer much more planning, or something)
Okay, I'll stop rambling, because I'll probably go on and on. Anyway, I hit up the same cons as last year: Katsucon, AnimeNext, Otakon, and NYCC. Hopefully those will be on the roster for 2013 as well. (Are people still going to cons? :C)
The "Some Plans for 2013" are fairly rough. Some are more definite than others. I like to throw my thoughts up there to keep me inspired. Though, I have more or less sworn off of stressing myself out over cosplay. I mean, I'm sure I'll get stressed out before cons regardless, but I'm keeping light loads and not overbooking myself. That's how we grown-ups do it, kiddies. (j/k. I'm just secretly crying because I'm turning 25)
As always, thanks to all the wonderful photographers who has graced me with their photos! I got to work with some new people this year, which was really exciting! And of course, I am always grateful for my friends and getting to goof around with them in cosplay. Hope to enjoy more group cosplays next year, as well. (So much for not rambling...)
SO, FINALLY. Thanks, once again, to all the new watchers and to all the lovely comments and generous favorites. I appreciate any and all feedback, so thanks to all of you who have supported my work! I'll try to repay you by creating more cosplay tutorials! (if you have ideas for tutorials, let me know!)
See you all in 2013!
Also, feel free to follow me on tumblr to keep up with my cosplay progress, etc.
