Description
This past year in cosplay for me. This is more or less a reference for me, but maybe others will find it interesting...?
I made more costumes this year than any other year. A total of 9 for this year, compared to 6 in 2009, and 1-3 in years prior. (I'm really stepping up my game, ahah!) Though, in all seriousness, I highly doubt 2011 will top this year. Cosplay takes a lot of time and money, and I want/need to exert my efforts into other areas, like comic-making. Plus, I'm running out of *things I really really want to do, omg, I have to do this right now* costumes. Though I'll still definitely make several costumes, no doubt about that!
I also went to more conventions than ever before this year. Anime Boston, AnimeNext, Otakon, and NYAF/NYCC. This might be nothing compared to other people's con schedules, but in previous years I was lucky to go to even 2 cons. In 2011, I'd like to/plan to attend at least these cons: Katsucon, Sakura Matsuri in NY (not really a con, but you know), AnimeNext, Otakon, NYAF. We'll see how this con year goes~~
I realize this year marks the blooming of a beautiful relationship with my friend ~skwinkography who graces me with fantastic photographs of my costumes! ;__; Uggh, I <3 you so much, thank yooouuu~~~ And thanks to all of my photog-friends (I'm looking at you ~BlankoCosplay and ~TheDreamerWorld!)
Well, I guess that all!! Thanks to anyone and everyone who has commented/faved any of my costumes! Part of the fun of cosplay is seeing other people excited about your costume/portrayal of a character. This year it seems like I'm getting more into theatrical special effects stuff like liquid latex-- fun stuff!
P.S. I've started a tumblr for my cosplay progress, as well as tutorials and experiments! Check it out if you like Tumblr!

So glad that I was able to cosplay with you in 2010, and that it will continue in 2011 as well! Man Erin, you got sooo damn good in such a short amount of time. You're so effing fabulous!
