I'm neutral on the subject, but I'm happy that gay and lesbian couples can now also be happy, and that they earned it without resorting to violence or hatred, and instead did the proper thing and protested calmly and in a civil way. They deserve respect.
Gay marriage shouldn't be illegal in the first place. Marriage is about law, and entering a legit relationship. And because you're married, you have more protection for your children (IF you have any). Marriage is something that is not about religion these days, but anyone is welcome to bring religion into it if they wish. People's business are people's business.
I myself have seen people change their minds about, fully supporting gay marriage. A really nice friend of mine talks to people about how Homosexuality isn't a choice and marriage equality, and they have taken her word for it since she debates very maturely. And it's really cool if you ask me.
