Disney Rants: Disney Channel
As a child, I mainly grew up on cartoons, fantasy movies and classic novels. Like any child the time, I mainly watched Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Boomerang. I remember inviting my friends over and laughing together at The Proud Family and Kim Possible. Because back then, Disney Channel actually put some time and effort into the shows they aired.
But as their audience got older and the generation evolved, Disney Channel decided to take a new approach. I like to think they all sat around a table and started to cross out every show that was doing well at the time. Because this new generation was "hip" and "cool" and these kids don't want those stupid cartoons. This new generation needs sitcoms about teens who don't even act at all like any normal teen.
The 'new' Disney Channel now consists of shows about teens whom are all unrealistic, dramatic and whiny. Every show has to tie into signing and dancing which, of course, our m
