North Shore Railway No. 2
Mr. Aspen  laid out the plans for his engine out on the table, the board were always impressed on how he always stayed one step ahead.
"I knew we needed an engine, and you can't Do better than this, I say. Here, you can see its, longer, simple, and most importantly faster!"
And it was faster. The plans were for a Drummond T9. "Greyhounds" they called them. And for that very reason.
"It'll be in charge of the express trains once the war has ceased. Fast goods trains as well"
"It seems like a viable option, but are you sure about this?"
Mr. Aspen smiled
"I'd seen these engine all up and down the Southern region growing up back in Sussex. And I promise you, he'll be a promising member of my engine fleet. Besides, it wasn't easy to get these plans from Bulleid
The Directors were shocked!
"Oliver Bulleid! How the devil did you get HIM to loan you the plans?"
But before Mr. Aspen could answer, the clock chimed.
"Ah, 7:00. Time to go." He replied.
So the directors left for home, But a Mr

North Shore Railway No. 1
During the Second World War The North Shore was finding their Resources in Maintenance Scarce, Food & Supply rations were already set in motion. And now  the workmen we’re struggling to maintain the track and even the engines. The only coal available was a low-grade filthy coal, that blew clouds of soot and smog from their smokeboxes, and contaminated the air and dirtied  The Tank engines, who did their best with only three of them working.
These three engines were Harrison, Holden and Charles. Harrison and Charles handled mostly passenger trains, but Holden was the station pilot. So he handled the station traffic, but took an odd train every-so-often, if necessary. Together they made up the mainline. However the Manager (Mr. Aspen) knew it wasn’t enough, And decided to have a larger engine take over the bulk of their work.
Building and engine was not cheap, and steel was hard to come-across. He couldn't afford to keep his engines going in their conditio

North Shore Railway (Introduction)
In the Mid-Early days of Railroading, England and The United States were the two leading countries in Railroading. And sometimes many engines were built in the Baldwin Shops and shipped over to England. Such as the Dock tanks and S160’s.
Even after wards a handful of engines from British Railways ventured onto American lines. One famous example was The Flying Scotsman in 1969, But so many don’t know about the railway the employed British Engines for regular use. In a city called Cornwallis.
Their railway was dominated by engines of British design. And the engines were proud of being the only ones of their country to work permanently in America 🇺🇸 It wasn’t perfect (Railroads neer are) but it was interesting to say the most! And the stories I collected and I want to share them with all of you.

This message is a thank you, and a offer of gratitude to everyone who fought in every war.

-This is to those who’s families and friends fought in the past wars

- This is for everyone here, who’s families are in the services. If either the Army, Navy, Marines, National Gaurd, Coast Gaurd or any other branch/Division.

-This is for those that LOST their loved ones to those wars, And Their memories that will live on in greatness.

This is for my Grandfathers who were listed in the Army & Home Gaurd. And for my Uncle who served and his brother who is in the Navy. Let’s pray that this day will not be in vain or allow it to sting old wounds. Or let the fight for freedom weaken. Instead...

Let’s remember the patriotic pride that went in to these fights. To defend of land, our Lakes, our home 🇵🇷🇺🇸 Our people. And leave a safe place for our Children. As Prime minister Churchill said “We will NEVER surrender, whatever the cost” 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

So I say thanks to everyone who have or still serve. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🦅
