Soarin was a commission for spectre089. He is 17" tall to the top of his head, and is made of Azure, Baby Blue, Navy and Yellow minky with applique details. His goggles and fully lined mask are removable, each with one fastening only, and his wings are wired for posability. His Wonderbolt costume is not removable, but the neck can be pulled down when the mask is removed for a more realistic clothing like effect. I'm SO happy with how his mask turned out - it looks super seamless when it's on, and skin-tight to boot. Furthermore, this is hands down my favourite stallion I've made. There have been a lot of stallions whose designs I really loved, but somehow I've never gotten the pattern down for stallions like I have for mares. Soarin is made with an all-new stallion pattern, and I LOVE it. I'm so glad I've finally hit on a combination of shapes that work! So I took like a million pictures...you can see the full turnaround with all his accessory variations below, if you're interested:
What a handsome Soarin'.
Holy heck, awesome job on the mask.
Wow this is so amazing. I don't even know what else to say. Someday I need one
Holy heck, he looks like he was literally pulled straight out of the show! His Wonderbolt outfit looks flawless and the fact that his mask is removable is kinda mind-blowing!
Very cool! Now get that guy a pie, stat!
Dude he looks PERFECT. Your stally pattern is <33333333333
That’s incredible! It looks like he came straight out of the show! O:
wow, that's some high quality work right there.
He looks great! The stallion pattern you're using looks really good!
How did you manage to not have some sorta seam in the neck with its up?! Wow! Everything lines up so well - are you pulling a fast one with one that's entirely suited and another with just the body suit.
fantastic! and the detail from the clothe in the neck is so great!
<3 that lucky owner.
