In other news, I am very busy with the Really Good thing, and other things. I haven't drawn anything just for fun for a while, and while these things are really good, I wish I could! I've thought of three Christmas pictures I want to do. I have to do at least one so I have something to put on my Christmas cards. I've also been none too healthy. But today ends my first semester teaching highschool Theology/Church History. I think it went rather well, overall. But I need to determine how much of a Christmas vacation I can take from the freelance work--not too much from the ongoing jobs!
But after Christmas I will be going off to Minnesota do nothing but draw and photograph snow for five days!
It's for Beckyless. I want to start it once I've finished Christmas Yet to Come, and that's almost done! And to start, I have to learn to draw snow very very very very very very very very very well. I can't be relying on stock photography for something where snow shapes the world so centrally!I finished the script for Thy Brother's Wife! It seems so short in comparison to Beckyless, but I think with pictures it'll be about the right length for a single-volume graphic novel. I'll need to start it around the same time as Beckyless so I can have it handy if publishers don't want to risk a seven-volume series right away.
Sandro turned out much more sympathetic than I thought he could be, to me at least. eightcrows still seems creeped out by him. XD But alot of the personality of these people will only come when I start drawing, especially for Piero. I was amazed by how much more each character was being and giving just with drawing the thumbnails for Beckyless, so... a mere script is far from the complete story!Have a vigilant Advent!
