SPLR - for love is strong as VI

This is last year's Valentine's Day picture, which I took down when it was discovered that the people whose Dungeons and Dragons characters I had drawn as the central couple were having an adulterous affair. While it is often best to separate works of fiction from the lives of their makers, in this case, I am fairly certain that the forbidden romance between the characters was merely a way of simultaneously showing off and concealing the affair and getting off on getting away with it right in front of everyone's noses. Diabolic.

And so, I drew a new central couple, Luke and Marina Triton from the Professor Layton series, esp. Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle's Mystery-Solving File. An example of heroic marital fidelity. And I cut it out in a heart shape and taped it over in real life.
It was such a wonderful surprise to see Luke married, and then the heartbreaking sacrifice of eleven years. It's truly beautiful.

The other couples, clockwise from the top left, are: Sigma and Diana from Zero Escape, Mia Fey and Diego Armando from Ace Attorney, Cuan and Ethlin from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, and Athena and Blackquill from Ace Attorney.

I have drawn a new picture for this year, I just have to color it. But I wanted to get one up within February, the month of Valentine's.
