Hi guys, I've been SO BAD at updating the last few months!
What's been going on: well, I've been pounded in the lab and have been working 40-50 hour weeks, on top of classes and also a part-time job I picked up back in June '10 doing graphic design! As a lot of you came by and noted on my page that I attended Anime Los Angeles in LA during January and flew all the way out to Washington DC for Katsucon in February! I should have announced that on my page but... well... uh..... ok yeah I don't have any excuses.
So I figure I should announce the rest of my con schedule for this year!
SakuraCon (April 22-24, 2011) in Seattle, WA Fanime
(May 27-30, 2011) in San Jose, CA A-Kon
(June 10-12, 2011) in Dallas, TX Anime Expo
(July 1-4, 2011) in Los Angeles, CA San Diego Comic-Con
(July 21-24, 2011) in San Diego, CA -- as an attendee, most likely! My favorite con of the year <3 Otakon
(July 29-31, 2011) in Baltimore, MD
I hope to also be able to attend New York Anime Festival in October as well~
Aaaand by the end of all that, I expect to be a walking zombie.
There are a couple of surprises on the art front from me in the coming months, but I can't say or show anything yet! FFFF....
I've also entered in the mascot contest again for Sakuracon, so I'll find out at the end of April whether I placed or not!
Also very exciting: I'm going to be graduating this year, finally!
*__* this means more art from me after I graduate, and then the horrible reality of trying to find a real job in the real world..... so to prepare, I'm going about updating my website/portfolio (lol, last updated in 2008...) and trying to churn out a couple of more technical pieces to show off my abilities.
In the meantime, I'll try to draw some non work-related things in whatever free time I have (not much, lolz...) so I have something to post here! Thank you so much
to everyone who follows my work and comments on my submissions.... it really means a lot to me to see really thoughtful comments in my inbox, even if I don't respond very regularly. I do read everything that gets posted though. <3
To say thanks, I'm going to try to put together a tutorial sometime in the next few months!
What kind of digital media
tutorial would you guys like to see from me most? Coloring tutorial? Lineart tutorial? .... basic drawing tutorial?
I'm not a trained professional by any means but I think making a new tutorial would be a nice way of giving back for all the nice things I've received from this community in the past few years.
Let me know what you guys would like to see! Thanks!
