Game: Final Fantasy X
Summary: The last conversation between Luzzu and Gatta, following the events of Operation Mi'hen.

Gatta clenched his stomach as he stared at the sheer death in front of him. Mushroom Rock was a haunting sight as the bodies of numerous crusaders were sprawled across the sand. The Operation was a failure and the young crusader knew it was all in vain. He'd forsaken Yevon's sacred teachings, they all had. And this was the price they were paying.
"...Gatta."
The crusader turned his head at the whisper of his name. Someone was out there...alive! Gatta quickly began examining the bodies before him, trying to find the survivor so he could get them some help. And that's when he saw his friend lying beside the water, surrounded by his own entrails.

Tidus was sitting by the fire, a little dejected as he realized that pursuing any kind of relationship with Yuna would not be possible. Picking up a twig at his feet, he tossed it near the flame, watching as the heat made it crumble into dust. When he turned his head toward her tent, he could just see her asleep inside the canvas flaps, the silhouette of her body comfortably curled up driving him mad. A woman floated in the water beneath an endless veil of stars woven into a black backdrop creating a diamond studded sky. A few feet in the air above her, flew a thousand pyreflies, their sparkling bodies alerted the people on shore that there was a poor woman in the water.
Soaked to the bone, her strange clothes felt stiff against her shivering body.
