On a road trip across Nevada I shot typical vacation snapshots, most through a moving car's window, with a Holga 60mm f/8 lens on my Nikon D80 DSLR. Resulting images are very reminiscent of snapshots I took in the late 1950s with a plastic camera. The color images are rich, contrasty, yet diffused, almost dreamy. The color images also translate well to monochrome with minimal post processing. Admittedly the collection of 'road trip' images are quite boring, but capturing, me thinks, the essence of another time. The Holga lens is going to see a good deal of use.
