A Distant Land

I spent a few hours on this one. My mom who’s a dog groomer said there are shortcuts to her work but she wished she knew what they were. I laughed because as I was doing this I wondered the same thing. I did all the windows by intricate zooming in and coloring by hand.
No one told me how to get that particular effect in an easier way…so by hand it goes.

nice piece.
I love the sky & the castle.
I do think the waterfall is a little bit to light for the dark setting.
also the red lights in the windows don't seem natural.I believe the farther you see the less saturated the colors get.
mayby adding a little bit off light jellow & adding a gousian blur to it will give more of a lightspill effect.
just a suggestion I'm by no way an expert but I've used this technique myself while painting lightsources.
