Rosa simple Rose by Figuer Rosa simple Rose by Figuer
This is a simple version of the Kawashaki rose. Each rose is two pieces of paper. A square paper for stem (and leaf), and another square for the rose itself. Both pieces are joint without glue.
I fold these roses in only 10 minutes each and I have folded hundreds and hundreds of these roses. I even hated them :blushes:
EDIT: I have changed the pic for another one. I think this one is prettier =)
Author of the model: I am not sure, I think it is Toshikazu Kawashaki for the rose and Ted Normington for the stem.
Folded by: Me!
Diagrams: Yes, in the web of the Spanish Origami Association [link] Look in the section "Diagramas internacionales"
_________________________

Llegué incluso a odiarlas :blushes:
EDITO: He cambiado la foto por otra que me parece más bonita.
Autor del modelo: No estoy seguro. Creo que Toshikazu Kawashaki por la rosa y Ted Normington por el tallo.
Plegadas por: Yo.
Diagramas o desarrollos: Sí, en la web de la Asociación Española de Papiroflexia [link] Busca en la sección de Diagramas internacionales.

Preeeetty-ful! Preeetty-ful! Preeetty-ful! ^____^ :glomp:

The Kei thinks that these roses are awesome, they look so good! And they are so shiny! *__* The Kei really likes the effect of the varnish on these, especially... =D

The Kei will be sad to give one of its roses to its sister. =P

These are beautiful. You're really making me want to fold origami flowers for my wedding bouquet XD What's the best way to make origami creations strong enough to last through the ages?

I use varnish. A ceramic varnish to apply on paper with brush used in craftmanship. I could tell you the exact name of the varnish but I bet it is not sold outside of Spain.
Wedding bouquet? getting married anytime soon? Congrats =D=D=D
They are really prettier origami flower than these ones.
About the simple Rose, I folded 150 of these flowers to my brother's wedding, and 129 flowers more a friend's wedding. But they were used as presents to the female assistants to the wedding.
I am glad you like them =)

It'll be a couple years, but we are unofficially engaged. ^^ It will happen eventually, we just don't have the money yet.

Thank you! I'll remember that later :D -dance dance- That's very helpful, and you've inspired me. I want to try origami now.

I hope to be. ^^ I'd love to have him do some of the flowers with me, and we can include the first flowers we ever folded, and the rest will be ones from after we become "masters" (or as close as we can get ;))

ah sweet.. never found the standard version of the rose to be worth the time, people always seemed to like lilys as much or more, especialy with the stem i came up with for em and i can make them blinfolded lol. i'm definaly gonna have to add this to the trail of origami i leave behind me where ever i go lol.

also i haven't considered varnish to seal my origami (i've used other things before) hmm i bet the spray varnish my father uses to seal his paintings would work great.

Hi, Eli. I use a brush to varnish the models.
I have folded this rose a thousand times.

Entonces existen muchas chicas afortunadas.

Somehow, I felt that the way I was taught to make origami roses is different from the version shown here, this one is more realistic :)

This is the simple version of the kawashaki rose. The normal version is a lot more realist.
Here, in deviant, Nelf [link] have some Kawashaki roses wonderfully folded.
Thank you for your comment!

When I saw these I thought how it be really cute if someone made these for me and anonymously hid them places. Like a secret admirer-type thing. I would love that.
They're so cute!

I bet you already have secret admirers. So, you only need that they learn to do origami.

This is a simple version of the famous Kawasaki rose. It is only 5 minutes the flower and other 5 minutes for the stem.
When I fold the normal version of the rose I need more time, of course.
Thank you for your comment and thank you for your fave too =)

I have folded blue ones, and black ones too.
But I don't like real blue roses: they are too artificial.

It is standard japanese origami paper. It looks transparent cause they are varnished.
