After the script is complete, we have a "storyboard launch" meeting. I talk with the director (in this case it was WB veteran ~samliu and the storyboard artists about key story points, important emotional beats we wanna hit, etc. These thumbnails help quickly communicate ideas I've been kicking around in my brain ever since we started the writing process.

What's cool is that despite being small and rough, these thumbs very much convey final shots from the show!

Hope I can find a fun job like that. I'm still in high school and they already have us thinking about stuff like that. IT'S SO STRESSFUL!! :nuu:

Anyways, I still got a lot to learn about designing and drawing, so I need to find a suitable school. Then just maybe I can work with my favorite superheroes too. I'm a HUGE fan of Marvel and DC! :aww:

any advice on how to start a story for a lost dog in storyboard format? I have to come up with a story for my prinicples of screen design class. any tips or helpful hints will be greatly appreciated!! :)

Hmmm.... I guess you gotta start by figuring out what your story is. Is the dog happy to be lost (glad that he/she got away from the mean owner) or sad (misses his/her owner)? I would imagine you need to establish 1) The dog is lost 2 ) How he/she feels about being lost 3) What the problem is {i.e., does the dog want to get back, or is it trying to get away?} 4) How is solves the problem 5) Happy ending! or Sad Ending! Something like that?

Thanks for the advice! I'm having the dog be a super secret agent and the owners notice it's missing then put up missing dog posters....etc...
