Mini Top Hat Tutorial

I've had a lot of people ask me how I made my last mini top hat... so I spent a few weeks photographing the process (I haven't spent much time on art lately.. darn X-Men Legends!), and tried my best to describe how I put everything together.

Best of luck for anyone who tries their hand at it - it's lots of fun. And if you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

I basically make about $6,000-$8,000 a month online. It’s enough to comfortably replace my old jobs income, especially considering I only work about 10-13 hours a week from home. I was amazed how easy it was after I tried it………COPY AND PASTE...............HERE  www.GeoSalary.com

This is super flipping useful, thank you so much for documenting and posting this tutorial.
I've been looking for a clearly described how to tutorial on making mini top hat for a plush I've been building, but most I've found have been either vague or under photographed with little to no diagrams included.
This is head and shoulders above the rest simply because you got everything down both visually and textually and it is GREAT. <3

Thank you so much!  I'm glad you could use the tutorial. :)
I get really frustrated when I see something that I want to create and have no idea where to even begin.  I'm so detail-oriented, and it can be a real pain to figure things out.
So I'm glad when I can help others with the process.

It's been really super helpful for me in so many ways. I've been trying to make a prop tophat for a character plush I've been putting together, but it's so small it's been... Rather a hassle.
The steps you lay out are so nice and clear, it's helped me LOADS in figuring out how to make the tiny darn thing. :)
im so happy that i get to wear one of these for my next cosplay!

I love this tutorial but I have a quick question. How do you keep the velvet from crinkling when you glue it to the larger cardboard, after you glue the height on?
