GROUP INFO

:spotlight-left:
This is a Group dedicated to those awesome and adorable little creatures, the Ferrets!
Here we share artwork and photography of them!
If you have something to share, or just wanna check things out, feel free to join us!

:pointr: JOINING

Everyone's welcome, just hit the button on top of the page "Joing Our Group". I will accept you as soon as I see the request.

:pointr: SUBMITING TO THE GROUP

:bulletblack:If you're going to submit art (drawings, sculpture, photomanipulation, stamps, recipes, music, etc) you upload it to the Artwork folder.

:bulletblack:If you're going to submit a photo of your ferret (or an acessory or something related to them), you upload it to the Photography folder.

:bulletblack:It is ok if you want to upload to the Featured folder, but if you're going to upload many pictures, try to keep most of them to their respective folders.

:bulletblack:If you need to sell/give up to adoption/adopt/share a link or idea and you believe it is relevant to upload a journal, you may. Just remember to keep it under the subject of ferrets.

:bulletblack:If you want to affiliate your group with ours, you're free to send a request.

:pointr: TERMS OF UPLOADING

:bulletblack:Any deviation is welcome ...as long as it does NOT depict violence and/or products of violence against animals (of any nature), in a way that approves or promotes it, or doesn't explicitly condemn it. As that would be completelly opposite to this group's very purpose, that is, to love and respect the creatures of the world.

:bulletblack:You may upload the same deviation again if it wasn't accepted in a few days, as we might just have lost track of the noticifation acidentaly. If it was declined and you do not understand why, feel free to contact us or the founder.

---
If you find something in this group you believe goes against our principles, fee free to notificate us (or the founder directly) about this as it's totally possible we let a thing or two go unnoticed.

With the holidays fast approaching, so many people are acting on whim and buying gifts. Unfortunately, ferrets can be one of those things. By January and February many of these scamps have been put up for adoption again because of poor planning, lack of ferret-y knowledge, and many people don’t know what a handful they can be!
I’m trying to raise money and supplies for the local no-kill ferret shelter. I’ve made a wish list that you can order from and have it sent straight to my address. I understand that money’s tight, it’s the holidays, but there are more than a dozen things on this list that cost less than $10 w/o shipping. I’m hoping to take everything we’ve collected to the shelter late January and hope to donate my time there as well.
If you have any homemade toys, gently used blankets and sheets, anything, every little thing helps. Supplies, money, and time are all important, and keep things like no-kill shelters alive. Please help spread the word, and thank you so much!

As everyone is aware, real ferrets are amazing companions that take lots of time and commitment. Some people are unsure of whether a real ferret may be for them or not. If you are interested in adopting your own virtual ferrets, please keep on eye out for the grand opening over at :iconferretnationrpg:

That way those who love ferrets but are unsure of whether they really can handle a real one, can adopt virtual ones instead. As all people say over-and-over day-after-day, please think long and hard before adopting a real ferret as they do require lots of love and work <3

i think it is great that you can provide a virtual experience.  i always recommended that people volunteer at a shelter first :)  that way they can see what work is involved and can hear some all to common health horror stories. :s
online is far more accessible, so a great option. :)

Hello!

I am a first-time ferret owner. I've learned my little girl is deaf. Is there anyone here with experience concerning deaf ferrets? I would like to hear your experience and how things were different than having one that could hear, if there was a difference. :)

hi  i just read about your deaf ferret ive had ferrets that have gone deaf and its never seemed to fazed them as when they could here it was selective as they would only really answer to the word food or treat time and when they went death as long as they stayed in the group they knew the group hhelped them as they would act as a hearing aid nudging them when i yelled food so the follow but i cant sy that every ferret will do that but you never know
