At first I seem mysterious, but then I arrive again for another critique. Today we have two adorable Pikachu. As I'm used to critiquing sprites based off of the games (I don't recognize these) this one will be a bit different.

Vision: As usual, it takes great vision to translate a character to beads, sprite or otherwise. In a work as small as this, a single misplaced bead will ruin the overall presentation. Consider that I've only worked with large beads and recognize this and it's easy to see the skill involved here.

Originality: I always have a hard time with this one. This piece is a form of fan art but is original as far as I can tell. A 3.5 stars doesn't bring down the overall score terribly much so it shall be the score I give. On one hand, the character is not original and duplicatable, but on the other the pose is original. Barring an overall perfect score not being possible I find this fair.

Technique: The technique here is flawless. In the event that I am informed that these are indeed from a game (this will not change the originality score), I can't say this score would be changed. On this scale I'd easily notice if a bead was out of place. Smashing, to say the least.

Impact: As iconic as Pikachu is this piece would have a hard time not having impact. The different color beads make good use of shadow and depth, especially for such a small piece. If the amount of adorable doesn't sway a viewer, the technique and color surely will.
