Hello there, fellow deviants!
I figured I would take a few minutes and write a bit about the events of this past week. Most of the week was spent working on a website (and character art) for a "wild west" furry roleplay community that I am starting. The game is played predominantly through chat rooms available on www.roleplaychat.org, but I figure I may add in a forum for discussion and secondary roleplay on the site.
Other than spending too much time drawing for friends, I've managed to scramble my way through tests and assignments for my final three degree courses. This semester is Sociology, Humanities and Technical Writing. All of them are rather easy, but my Sociology professor, I believe, is an amalgam of Cruella DeVille, Scar, Hitler and anyone's mother. Nevertheless, I have somehow managed to maintain my 4.0 and I have but a mere month before I attain my coveted paper deeming me fit to be a computer support specialist.
In the free time I have had this past week, I have been reading David and Liz Lillie's wonderful creation, Dreamkeepers! If you haven't heard of this, but you enjoy action, sci-fi, furries, and really great art, then you should hop over to www.dreamkeeperscomic.com or check out *dreamkeepers here on deviantart. I guarantee that you will enjoy the witty humor, beautiful chroma, and interesting characters!
Lastly, I spent the weekend with my wonderful girlfriend. It was a rather lackadaisical two days and one night. I was subjected to Disney's Hercules (which I spent most of the time pointing out the inconsistencies with true Greek mythos while watching), Tarzan (which I absolutely adore for the soundtrack and the art), and Buried (the new, rather boring, Ryan Reynold's flick). Saturday was spent on a day-trip with my father to buy a new automobile for my stepmother, and Sunday was church and lunch at Cracker Barrell with friends.
All-in-all, the week was a rather good one. It saw the brief, easy-going celebration of Valentine's day (because my girlfriend would be back on her campus on Monday), the similar celebration of her birthday, and lazy bouts of reading mixed with lounging about.
So there ya go, my first journal entry. Huzzah! Heh.
