Thank you for this! This says everything I cannot say out loud because my pain is so outrageous.
I've pinned this a couple times and I'm so glad I found you. I'm starting a blog just to share my personal journey through chronic illness along with sharing research and other's stories as well. I would be honored to have your image illustrating one of the posts. Please consider and let me know, thank you so much!

Glad you like it. I suffer from them so I know a debilitating they can be. You can use the image for the blog, all I ask is credit to me and send me a link to the post. Credit: Phil Fensterer www.creativeschism.com.

Thank you so much! I absolutely will link you back! I'm very excited to use an image from you! I will absolutely let you know when I do.
It's strange that I haven't really written much about my chronic pain or my migraine condition yet... Even though the blog is FOR people with these very conditions. I find it much harder to write about that I realized.
This is the blog: abodyofhope.wordpress.com

Thank you again.
I'm going to check out some of your new work now. I'm very sorry you suffer with migraines as well. I can see the pain in your work. Maybe that is what I connect to so much.
Take care.

I'm sorry to hear about your migraines. They are so debilitating. You express them very well in your images.
Thank you very much. I will absolutely give you credits and linkbacks. I appreciate you responding.
Be well,
Mary

hey Phil. Long time no see. This piece looks fantastic. I see alot of mixtures of different materials which enhances to image, and gives more creativity. Excellent job.

Great concept, I love all the little details that you put in here. Textures and the way you used them here are top notch especially in the stomach area. The only thing that doesn't look right is the liquid.

Oh killer background I wish i could come up with stuff like that. Great job my friend.

Thanks Russ. I was testing a technique with the liguid and I have a better use for it in a future image! ;) Trying to use more natural media like my watercolor backgrounds in my images so we'll see how it develops! :plotting:

It goes against the grain this pain in the head.
Some call it Migraine but that makes it too personal. Like wheat it starts small like a cloud in the warm sunny sky but grows until the sky is gray and cold. Then the pain comes like the rain cold and chilling forcing a retreat to the bed if you are lucky or a long day under the elements if you are not. Eventually the rains end and its time to carry on again.

Looks great.

Most of the time I am able to limit the amount of pain if I can catch it early enough. As soon as I feel one coming on I'll take 3-4 Excedrine Migraine and eat something so the stomach doesn't get too upset. If I can I lay down and try to sleep before the headache really starts in then I am usually able to sleep through the worst of it.

I can't eat when I get bad headaches, actually have to concentrate to keep the food down. Sleep is the best, bye bye headache, well most of the time.

As a migraine sufferer, I always wanted to make an image that shows how it feels and this is it!! Especially the tubes and the hard metal machinery thing. Awesome!!. This would be great for the home page of my migraine group on yahoo.

Great work with texturing mate, the image has a lot of details! Not very sure of the splatter :hmm:, but overall looks wicked! ;)

Thanks bud! The splatter was part of my experimenting. I actually like the technique and as far as it fitting in with this image, I'm not sure myself but it's a thought I might develop further! ;)

I would fave it...without the "Kleckse"! I think the english word for "Kleckse" is "splatter" :)

Yeah, some like the spltter effect some don't but I did enjoy the technique I used to create it. ;) As always, I appreciate the critique! :D
