'Shutter Shatter' Series Preview

So during vacation I found an interesting new kind of snapshot to take, one appearing quite artistic and abstract. Here's an example photograph edit:

Can you guess the subject of the photo?

Here's a sneaky previewing of my next piece to be put up – I've been working on some new techniques and elements, one of which is obvious in this screengrab:

At the moment I'm working more on those stars seen in the backdrop...

Thanks everybody for the attention recently, it is a welcome reward for my continuous interest in space art :Þ

Planets!

Thu Mar 21, 2013, 2:33 PM
Funny thing, actually...

what got me going with spacescapes was some longlost planet tutorial. I had this planet made out of rust, which ended up looking like this goofball:

Needless to say, I was instantly absorbed into the enjoyment of forming space bodies of all sorts!
So right now I've found that nebulae are such a core component of space art that they might even be the most relevant aspect.
While I'm working on forming various nebulae techniques, I'm also working on developing planets that appear real, smooth, and full of character!

So for one of my next pieces here I will include my own globular orb or two; let's hope they're up to par! Of course, nothing will ever match the perfection you get from DeathCl0ck!

By the way, does anyone else think the tongue-out emoticon looks too sad?
