This is a edit of a Vista RTM skin, the navigation on the explorer is fake obviously, but it looks really great and authentic. The older version of this skin had awfull glass and a clear taskbar, I'm fixing this skin now, The maximize problem will only be in explorer, only explorer will use this skin, other apps will use normal WhiteFlame skin as default, but I may even find a way to fix maximize frame. WindowBlinds 6 here has blur enabled which looks very nice with original vista frame glass. The navigation problem is solved, because you can use styler to navigate.
The performance is same as running any other skin. So no need for aero capable system.
Maybe will release this soon, project started in audition to jake's control panel which may be also released soon: [link]

that is what I'm working on right now except I'm pretty sure I can't do this as well as you but I am taking page previews of Vista and making png files from them to make a glass vista and glass xp theme, but I am pretty sure it won't turn out as well as yours, but I'm going to try it out:]
